Description

The inspiration for the Fancy Pants Hopper came from years of observation of actual Montana grasshoppers.

The main difference between this pattern and other hopper patterns is that the thorax, wing and legs are one piece of foam creating a simple, super realistic profile, something I have been trying to achieve since the creation of my original Thunder Thighs Hopper.

This hopper looks like the real thing from all angles and gets fewer late season refusals than other bulky patterns.

Tied on the beefy 5262 hook, this fly lands upright and holds tight.
